ArtsEarth celebrates GivingTuesday by promoting the arts worldwide, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
ArtsEarth is responding to meet the needs of artists by promoting the arts worldwide by providing a free platform from which artists can scream about their upcoming art-related events from the rooftops.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 1, 2020, and throughout the year.
ArtsEarth recognizes the special importance of GivingTuesday this year as a response to our shared challenge and fear about economic uncertainty in the wake of the global pandemic we are all living with today. It is imperative that we all continue to support each other, either by donating money, or by offering to help by volunteering this year. We are currently looking for dedicated business professionals who are interested in giving back to their communities and helping artists build awareness of their events. If you are interested in joining us in this effort, please apply to the position that matches you best via our VolunteerMatch site.
I love that ArtsEarth is posting online arts courses or online “events”. Really nice to have! I think having ArtsEarth as that kind of source is critical now!
— Sheila Bosco, SFBA/NYC Drummer/Musician (April 24, 2020)
This GivingTuesday, we are hoping to raise $2,500.00 to cover the entire year’s expenses for administrative expenses like
- Website hosting
- Computer equipment
- Platform development
As you can see, we have very little overhead. Our ability to continue to provide free services to artists and the general public (possibly like you) is not free and we rely on you to help us continue these efforts.
If we achieve this very reasonable goal, we can upgrade our fundraising and volunteer management software to increase our productivity and better serve artists worldwide.
You don’t have to contribute financially to help ArtsEarth. We are currently expanding our volunteer workforce. We have volunteer positions available in these areas:
- Social Media Manager
- Fundraising / Grant Writer
- Art Reviewer / Writer
- Board Member
- WordPress Administrator / PHP Developer
- Secretary Officer
If you are interested in becoming an ArtsEarth volunteer in any of these areas, please visit VolunteerMatch, search for the positions mentioned above, and apply. We’d love to hear from you.
