Antenna The End (ATE) is a Los Angeles based music ensemble spearheaded by local songwriter/bassist, David Hakopyan and vocalist/costume designer, Daniella Yorah. Rounded out by a cast of young creatives, Tony Rinaldi on Brass & Efx, Brock Bowers on Drums, & Tadeh Petrossian on Guitar. Originally the brainchild of Hakopyan, ATE began during a transitional moment in David’s life, writing only as inspiration would come knocking. After years of searching for the perfect motley crew, the ATE sound has finally found it’s voice. October 14th 2014, marked the release of a series of 3 song eps, entitled ‘We Are What We Ate’ via INgrooves/TOYS.of.the.MASSES. To celebrate this release, ATE was engaged in a weekly residency at Keith Wilson’s infamous LA nightspot, Club Moscow. Antenna The End is currently in the recording studio prepping Volume 2 of the ‘We Are What We Ate’ Ep series, to be released late Spring 2015 via INgrooves/TOYS.of.the.MASSES, accompanied by a performance on April 10th at The World Famous Whiskey-Go-Go.

Born in Santa Monica, CA, Areni Agbabian began humming melodies at the tender age of 11 months. Growing up in a world of unique sounds, by age four, she was hitting xylophones and drums, making melodies and rhythms, and singing folk songs and rhymes with her aunt, a trained opera singer and Armenian music specialist, and her mother, a storyteller and Armenian folklorist. These two women imprinted the Armenian language, its tones and inflections, into her body, tongue, and heart. From a very young age, they set her on a musical journey she continues today.

“…intensely focused, moving toward some kind of hidden truth in simple lyrical images and phrases…”
— Ben Ratliff, NY Times
