“Each one of my garments is a statement piece designed to appeal to a woman who is not afraid of the spotlight… a woman who wants to be remembered.”
Paloma Soledad has cultivated her eye for detail after years of working in Hollywood. She began to gain worldwide attention from her early work as Costume Designer on Blockbusters such as Cabin Fever and Hostel. After spending two years building miniature outfits for Coraline, the Oscar nominated, stop-motion animated feature film from the Director of The Nightmare Before Christmas, she turned her focus to the fashion world in 2008.
Paloma introduced her unique line of finely detailed, couture corsets at Portland Fashion Week 2009, where she earned the title “Best Emerging Designer.” Her winning line was featured in a variety of publications that year, including SPINmagazine.com. In 2010 she co-founded MYTHAUS with Artist and co-designer Robb Kramer, as a collaboration blending the Fine Arts and fashion. In 2012 she was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s eight “Costume Designers turned Fashion Headliners.” Paloma resides in New York City and is available for fittings by appointment.
