More Information

Kenny Harris’ new paintings evoke the light and mood of architectural spaces from his travels around the world. He is fascinated with subtle light effects and expressive painterly surfaces, focusing on interiors or cityscapes. His dynamic paint application describes the way light pours through a space, with scrapes and impasto embodying the texture of the surfaces depicted. The paint itself becomes plaster and wood, or a glint of light reflecting off a dull surface worn smooth with age.

It is Sarah Williams’ belief, that art should originate through a painter’s personal experiences in her home environment. I see my whole life as preparation for the way I paint and the work I am currently making. This body of work is closely focused on my roots in the rural American Midwest. Being raised in a small town and then moving to an urban setting has made me aware of the seemingly mundane, anonymous scenes existing on the periphery that tend to be ignored.  Recently I have become conscious that I am compelled to paint what I know best which is the environment from which I come. My perception of a specific sense of place guides me while these local settings offer abundant material.

Master sculptor Santiago Medina’s Tuscany inspired Italian stainless steel masterpiece sculptures are at marquee public art venues such as Harvard, Stanford, Tufts and Washington University among many others. He is the only Colombian-American sculptor to have a permanent monumental sculpture at Harvard University. His avant-guard sculptures have been displayed at major worldwide art fairs such as at Art Basel Week Miami, Wynwood Art Fair, Houston Art Fair, Palm Beach International Art Fair and Arte America.
