We’re delighted to feature violinist Caroline Campbell (Klein Competition 3rd Prize 2002) in her first Klein Competition house concert. In high demand both in the classical and popular scene, she has been nicknamed “violinist to the stars” and has been hand-picked to play duets with artists such as Sting, Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, David Foster, and Seal. She tours regularly with jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, whose concerts have taken her to five continents. As a classical soloist, she has appeared with the Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Indianapolis Symphony, and many other symphony orchestras.

This special program will will include works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Niccolò Paganini, Ennio Morricone, George Gershwin, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and Sting, as well as selctions from West Side StoryTitanic, and more. She will perform with two pianists, frequent musical collaborator, William Joseph and a long-time Klein Competition accompanist, Dmitriy Cogan.

We’re also pleased to return to the Stanford home of Joan Talbert and David Lyon (address provided upon ticket purchase), one of our favorite venues. The location is particularly fitting because Caroline earned BS and MA degrees from Stanford University. Guests can arrive as early as 6:30pm for wine and a casual dinner; the concert will begin at 7:30pm.
