Multi-reedist Matt Renzi has been performing professionally for the past 20 years at international jazz festivals and music venues worldwide. For the past decade, he has been recognized multiple times by jazz organizations in Italy, Spain, Belgium, India and Israel as well as in the United States for his advanced concepts in spontaneous group composition and collective improvisation.

Matt can be heard on a variety of recordings including the award winning “Lines and Ballads” (Fresh Sound Records) as well as his latest release entitled “Lunch Special” (Three P’s Records) which features his trio. Matt has been leading his NY based trio for over 13 years now and continues to use this formation to push the limits of group improvisation and composition. He also leads another project, which combines contemporary classical composition techniques and spontaneous improvisation.

Stepped in the study of the powers of vibration, The Kevin Robinson Ensemble (KREation) is lead by Baltimore native saxophonist/composer Kevin Robinson. Formed in 2003. KREation has set itself on a course to explore genuine expression through various musical and artistic approaches. They will present a body of written and improvised music entitled “Planes Through a Sphere”. The music is a meditation on moving textures and shapes as they come in contact with a “spinning object”. This is also examination on a metaphysical level. The music will feature 5 movements.
