- Grades K-1 | Printmaking Frenzy! | Autumn Brown
In this camp, young artists will dive into the wonderful world of printmaking. They’ll explore color, shape and various techniques all the while creating amazing artwork. Printmaking is a wonderful way to experiment with creativity. Your little artist will not want to miss this camp!
- Grades K-1 | Color Splash | Debbie Elledge
Splashes of colors, melted colors, fading colors, we’ll try them all! This camp will be full of experimenting and new discoveries. Students will be introduced to new techniques and different mediums and learn how to combine them into one beautiful project. Can paint be combined with a weaving project? Let’s find out together!
- Grades 2-4 | Cartoon-loons! | Patrick Riley
It’s going to get loony! Enroll in this camp and learn how to sketch and draw caricatures big and small. Campers will also create a large bobble-head sculpture of one of their favorite superheroes using clay, cardboard and paper mache. Enroll in this camp for a wacky time creating sculpture, paintings, drawings and more!
- Grades 2-4 | Print Masters | Erin Latham
Inspired by contemporary artist and printmaker Shepard Fairey, this camp will be full of printmaking mayhem! Students will create a set of prints using block printing, silkscreen, collagraph and non-traditional print techniques along with wheat-paste pieces and works that incorporate iconic imagery. Wow, now that’s a lot of prints!
- Grades 5-6 | Creative Robotics | Angel Little
Add science to your art! Creative Robotics is a STEAM-based program that introduces the concepts of artistic engineering through simple mechanical and algorithmic exploration. Students will learn the basics of functional coding, creative designing and the If-Then-Else approach to problem solving. Campers will be able to identify with the common stages of mechanical engineering, expressions and creation mapping as well as team-based development. At week’s end, each camper will have built a LEGO Technic Getaway Racer to take home.
