Merola Opera Program welcomes you to learn more about how we’ve sparked the future of opera for the past 60 years with our season sponsor and partner Dandelion Chocolate. This event is part of our Merola in the City series to bring opera and opera lovers into San Francisco. Enjoy a guided tour of Dandelion Chocolate, alongside a Merola alumni artist and a member of the Merola board, and take a look into bean-to-bar chocolate making. You’ll be walked through each step of the production process in Dandelion’s working chocolate factory. We’ll examine the how and why behind the journey from cacao farm to Dandelion hot chocolate and taste cacao from cocoa beans to liquid chocolate, and finally single origin bar.
*Note: For safety reasons, closed-toed footwear is required. The climbing of stairs is part of the tour and no elevator is available.
