ArtNow is Oklahoma Contemporary’s annual exhibition of Oklahoma-based contemporary artists. The 25 artists featured in the exhibit also attend the ArtNow event so that guests can learn about the more than a hundred works in the show and the artists’ creative processes.
This year, Curatorial and Exhibitions Director Jennifer Scanlan, along with guest curator Alyson Atchison, will be considering a wide range of artists, many of whom have never shown at Oklahoma Contemporary. “Alyson was formerly the curator of Capitol Galleries for the Oklahoma Arts Council and has extensive knowledge of artists from all over the state,” Scanlan said. “This year we are excited to include many artists from outside the OKC and Tulsa metropolitan areas.”
The show has also been expanded from two weeks to four, giving metro-area residents more time to see the show and allowing for additional programming, like tours and artist talks.
