- 9:30PM Terence Blanchard E-Collective – Healing Through Music (late show)
An artist called “a brass-wielding force of nature” by the Los Angeles Times, trumpeter Terence Blanchard returns following the triumphant 2015 performances of his biographical opera Champion: An Opera in Jazz. He brings his GRAMMY-nominated E-Collective, performing music of hope and healing from their forthcoming album Live, a collection of live recordings made in Minneapolis, Cleveland, and Dallas – three cities scarred by the violence and tension between law enforcement and their African-American populations.
