He maintains an active performance and recording schedule as an original member of the critically acclaimed Yuval Ron Ensemble, The Chloe Pourmorady Ensemble as well as numerous other Los Angeles based world music ensembles. Jamie percussion is on Floodplain by The Kronos Quartet and over 100 tracks of released music.

Born in New York in 1970, violinist, mandolinist, and composer Ted Falcon grew up in a musical family listening to jazz and the Brazilian music of Villa-Lobos, Tom Jobim and Luiz Bonfá. Ted has lived and worked as a professional musician in New York City, Los Angeles, São Paulo and Brasilia. He taught violin for several years at the Escola de Choro Raphael Rabello, Brazil’s most respected choro school and has toured throughout the U.S. Brazil and Japan. In the U.S., he has performed along side of David Grisman and Mike Marshall and has recorded with Suzanne Vega and Ben E. King.

Ted just finished his 8th CD, Ted Falcon and Gypsy Jazz Club, a tribute to the music of Django Reinhardt, with his group from Brasilia, Brazil. He is currently an adjunct professor of music at Whittier College and a music teacher at the Silverlake Conservatory of Music.
