FREE ADMISSION | Reception begins at 6:00 PM and performance begins at 7:30 PM. Seating is limited; arrive to performance early!

Experience the art of Assyria through precious visual art and soulful Assyrian music, celebrating this ancient culture during the Assyrian New Year 6770. Join us for a celebration of Assyrian art and culture.

A food and wine reception at 6:00 PM will be followed by a multi-dimensional artistic event from 7:30 – 8:30 PM in Tateuchi Hall. Dr. Alda Benjamen from The Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. will explore the artwork of Assyrian artist Hānībāl Alkhāṣ, known as the father of Iranian Modern Art. Assyrian musicians and a traditional dancer will accompany this lively presentation.

A selection of Assyrian art from private collections will be shown in CSMA’s Mohr Gallery from March 27 – May 24, 2020.
