Axel Schmitt (CSMA Faculty, piano) takes on the task of performing the complete piano sonatas of Beethoven. This is the sixth in the series of concerts leading up to the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth in December 2020.

The program includes:

• Sonata No. 22 in F major, Op. 54
• Sonata No. 23 in F minor, Op. 57 “Appassionata”
• Sonata No. 24 in F♯ major, Op. 78 “à Thérèse”
• Sonata No. 25 in G major, Op. 79
• Sonata No. 26 in E♭ major, Op. 81a “Les Adieux”
