Photography Exhibition Bordolle is exhibiting now at the newly opened Art@Bentall Gallery in Downtown Vancouver.
The Vancouver Visual Art Foundation (VVAF) presents a new gallery space in Downtown Vancouver, representing local as well as international artists. The photography exhibition currently exhibiting, Bordolle, uses found objects and ideas around ‘The Body,’ to express the complexities built into female identity and femininity. The work comes from lens-based photographer, Laura Noonan. The ragdolls portrayed in the images are a symbol of innocence, constancy, and uniformity, they speak an aggressive yet stoic truth that provokes female empowerment. They are not victims.
