Dala’s Nest’s first-ever Cottage Concert with two remarkable artists! Join us inside the Nest (extremely limited seating) for this event.

Brian Belknap

Brian Belknap is a singer-songwriter with bases in New Orleans (home) and San Francisco whose music has a knack for tapping the darkness of his soul yet being joyful at the same time. His influences include Ry Cooder, the Flatlanders, and Bob Dylan. He relates to the loose, relaxed quality of their recordings, and it’s something he aptly achieves when composing and performing himself. Belknap will be bringing his amazing songs to Dala’s Nest for an exclusive Cottage concert. His most recent album, In Lieu of Flowers, is my favorite to date—it’s truly amazing. The best way to describe his vibe is traditional zydeco music meets Rod Stewart and the Faces. Treat yourselves and come hear Brian!

Karlyn DeSteno

Karlyn DeSteno writes songs about old houses, the mystery of friendship, and the ways the human heart acts under pressure. Her distinct alto voice and candid songwriting and storytelling have built her a loyal following in the US and internationally. Karlyn has opened for The Mother Hips in San Francisco and Marty O’Reilly in England, and been featured by the San Francisco Leonard Cohen Festival, You’re Going To Die (at SF’s best intimate performance space The Lost Church), Nomadic Press, and more. In 2016 she co-created Don’t Tell Us, We Know, a monthly multi-media performance show, with theater artist Karen Penley. Her forthcoming album, Living House, is due out soon.

As always, DNHC provides seating snacks, soft drinks, restroom, and gratitude! Easy street parking, a comfy livingroom, and a great time await you.
