Come hear an informal sneak preview of our “Winterlude” concert! This free open rehearsal is a great opportunity for families with young children, or for those wanting a peek into how a choir prepares for a concert, to experience choral music in a new way. We’ll be performing repertoire from our upcoming concert, and talking about our inspiration and process—you’ll be able to see it all come together!

More about our December Concert “Winterlude: Songs of Sleep and Repose“:

Tuck in for a cozy evening of choral music with Sacred and Profane. As winter is often a time of reflection and restoration, our December concert features sacred and secular music from all eras on the theme of rest and repose. We will celebrate the holiday season with Christmas lullabies by Herbert Howells, Henryk Górecki, Abbie Betinis, and a world premiere by Swedish composer Tina Andersson. In keeping with our love for Scandinavian music, we will sing Gunnar Eriksson’s “Norwegian Lullaby” and Jocelyn Hagen’s arrangement of a dark Icelandic lullaby. Our concert also features music by Russian-American composer Lera Auerbach, Shawn Crouch, Eric Whitacre, and the world premiere of Jack Curtis Dubowsky’s “Sleep.”
