Imagined as an open letter to the dance ecologies of the Bay Area, choreographers and performance artists Gerald Casel, Sammay Dizon, David Herrera, Raissa Simpson, and Yayoi Kambara present a series of performances in response to Casel’s yearlong community engagement residency, Dancing Around Race.

The evening includes a talk by Casel followed by site-specific performances and concludes with a conversation moderated by artist Bhumi Patel.
