The Annual Concerts for Inner Peace in America and the World (founded/directed by Eddie and Georgette Gale) honoring the inspired teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for a more United America and the world.

Eddie Gale has recorded with Cecil Taylor, Sun Ra, Larry Young, and Elvin Jones, and performed with John Coltrane, Jackie McLean, Booker Ervin, and Illinois Jacquet.

This Concert will be hosted by First A.M.E. Zion Church (established in San Jose 153 years ago) and Pastor, Reverend Anthony Brown.

The musical concerts will feature a special sermon by Reverend Michael Henderson and First AME Zion Church San Jose Choir directed by Patricia Ross. (1:00 PM)

Also, international jazz artist Eddie Gale and his Inner Peace Orchestra. Eddie Gale was proclaimed in 1974 by then Mayor Norman Y. Mineta, San Jose’s Official Ambassador of Jazz, for helping to bring jazz to San Jose. (2:30 PM)

You can join us in making a positive sound for the new USA President Donald Trump in hopes that he will realize there is more good than not in the world!

The positive sound will take place at the finale of Eddie Gale’s performance. You, the audience, are invited to bring acoustic instruments to join the sound that will be directed from the stage.

In performing this sound you want to remember that we are sending a message for inner peace in America and the world as a total positive influence.

The program will also include a Meet and Greet/Open Discussion hosted by The Honorable Forrest Williams after the Concert. (4:30 PM)

Doors open at 12:00 PM / Noon for you to enjoy an African American Journey Exhibition by Curator, Clarissa Moore. All are welcome. This event is wheelchair accessible.
