ONLINE BROADCAST (Originally Recorded FEB 24, 2019)

The concerts by former SFJAZZ Resident Artistic Director Dianne Reeves during her 2018-19 and 2019-20 Season residencies were some of the most popular and anticipated events each year, and her 2020 performances were some of the last held in Miner Auditorium before live events were canceled due to the coronavirus. In February 2019, the five-time GRAMMY-winning vocalist celebrated the 20th Anniversary of her GRAMMY-nominated 1999 Blue Note release Bridges — a standout session produced by her late uncle, keyboardist and composer George Duke, that focuses on a selection of lovingly re-imagined pop songs by Peter Gabriel, Joni Mitchell, and Leonard Cohen.

Reeves honored the legacy of Duke with this special performance featuring her stellar quintet including harmonica master Grégoire Maret and guitarist Romero Lubambo.
