  • Manley P. Bush

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, raised in Kapa’a, Kaua’i and Waimanalo, Oahu. Manley’s influence to Hawaiian music came by way of listening and following the “Masters” of Hawaiian music and slack-key guitar, like Gabby Pahinui and Sons and the Sons of Hawaii to name a few. He was introduced to the Hawaiian language while in Kapa’a by his Grandmother Lahapa Makali’i Mundon Opio. Manley’s musical talents which includes ukulele, guitar and bass were self-taught and began at a young age while living in Waimanalo. Through the Military Manley now resides in Salinas, California. He has a degree in management science and very active in local Hawaiian activities in Monterey, California and San Mateo, California . He is also a co-founder of the annual Pacific Islanders’ Cultural Association’s “Aloha Festival” formerly held in San Francisco and now San Mateo, California. Manley handles all business transactions for Ho’omana and the manager of the band.

  • Robert D. Uncangco

Born on the island of Oahu, in Nanakuli the youngest of six children all musically inclined, Robert was introduced to many different instruments at an early age. His love for Hawaiian music grew as he listened to groups such as Cecelio & Kapono, Kalapana, Olomana and the Brothers Cazimero. Robert started playing guitar as a young boy and continues to invest in the development of his craft. Over the past two decades, he has played with Manley Bush for various events and several hula halau as a part of ‘Olena Blend Hawaiian Band in Monterey, California. Robert was also a member of the Tahitian drumming group the Sons of Mapuana, in Monterey, California. He has been involved in other activities as a worship leader for over 20 years at his local church in Monterey. His diversity also involves a music and dance ministry with the purpose of perpetuating the Pacific Island culture related to Hawaiiana and celebrating the creativity that flows from the one true God! Robert is responsible for the vocal arrangements for the band with input from Manley and Eddy.

  • Edward G. Navarro (Eddy)

Born in Manila, Philippines, Eddy grew up in North Carolina. His mother introduced and taught him the ukulele at an early age. Since then, he has expanded his interest in other musical instruments. Eddy was introduced to Hawaiian music when a family from Hawaii moved into his neighborhood, and one of the daughters performed Hula and Tahitian for his 15th birthday. Eddy’s repertoire includes a diverse style of music from old school rock ‘n roll and oldies but goodies to top forty’s. As a long time member of a tour band, he toured the West Coast from LA to Canada for a few years. Eddy also played with a Hawaiian band for a couple of years when his young daughter started dancing for a Halau in San Jose, California. He and Robert Uncangco met through their church worship team and both are now with Ho’omana. Eddy brings many years of musical experience and knowledge, and is well versed in structuring the instrument key arrangements for Ho’omana.
