Multiple Grammy nominee and Juno Award winner Jane Bunnett’s bands and recordings showcase some of the finest musical talent from Canada, the U.S., and Cuba. Bunnett, a veteran jazz icon, soprano sax player, flautist and composer is known for her creative integrity, improvisational daring, and courageous artistry. Her Afro-Cuban melodies express the universality of music and her ability to embrace Cuba’s rhythms and culture. With Maqueque, Bunnett has created something new and phenomenal in the world of jazz. Last time this all-women collective came to the Bach they blew down the house!
