The Duel between Apollo and Mars
Music by the composers Giulio Caccini, Giacomo Carissimi, Johann Kapsberger, Virgilio Mazzocchi, and Barbara Strozzi, inspired by the theme of war. It is a musical journey between Italy and France from the sixteenth to the seventeenth century, which traces the military ascent of the French branch of the Gondi to which the Dukes of Retz belonged.
Concert organized by Salon/Sanctuary Concerts under the patronage of ADSI, Association for Boboli and Garden Club Florence.
