Story: Los Tangueros del Oeste

Hello Tangueros, Tango dancers, music lovers, friends and supporters! Please support original Tango music, musicians, and dancers during this difficult time. Los Tangueros del Oeste are recording an amazing album with super danceable Tango music for you, featuring Adrian Jost, Seth Asarnow, and Charles Gorczynski on the bandoneon, Pablo Estigarribia on piano, Manuel Berterriex on vocals/lyrics, Daniel Riera on beats, analog synthesizer and sound production, Carlos Caminos on guitar, and violinist Ishtar Hernandez. We have musicians from Argentina, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Cuba, the USA, and more. Los Tangueros is steeped in the nuevo tango styles of Astor Piazzolla, Gotan Project, and Bajo Fondo but with a soul of classic Tango from the Golden Era. Focusing on Sascha Jacobsen’s original compositions, the group combines beats and textures from electronica, with influences from flamenco filtered through an improvisational lens. The band’s singular nuevo tango sound is cool and impassioned, sensuous, seductive and utterly dance-inducing.

We are also collaborating with Director Daniel Peters and amaxing Tango dancers, Maxi Copello and Raquel Makow, to make another exciting Tango music video which will be released along with the album. All the music for the album is intended to be danced, including Tango, Milonga, and even an Argentine Zamba!
