Trapped in a world where authority goes unchecked and power is abused, Isabella is given a nefarious proposition by the powerful Angelo—her brother’s life for her virginity. Left with nothing but her courage and cunning, Isabella faces a choice: succumb to Angelo or fight against the corruption she faces.

The Bard deftly balances this compelling tragicomedy with the absurdly humorous and the tragically serious, as Silicon Valley Shakespeare shows how this tale is more relevant than ever in an age where many can still say, “Me too.”

Experience live, outdoor theatre under the stars when Silicon Valley Shakespeare returns to Sanborn County Park, kicking off their Saratoga summer residency with William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, directed by Doll Piccotto.

Measure for Measure runs in repertory during our Sanborn summer series with a new Kate Hamill adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.

The specific dates for this production include: July 29, July 30, July 31, August 13, August 14, August 18, August 19, August 27, August 28, September 1, and September 2.
