FREE ADMISSION – RSVP

Join us for a free, online concert featuring the Bernal Hill Players, a San Francisco-based, eclectic chamber ensemble that plays classical and contemporary music from around the world. The group will present music for flute, voice, and piano.

Following the short concert, ask the artists questions about music going online, the program, and/or their lives as performing artists. Martha Rodríguez-Salazar and Jennifer Peringer, the founding members of the ensemble, both teach online at Community Music Center and can answer questions about what it’s like to learn and teach music on platforms like Zoom and Youtube. Questions can be asked live or submitted ahead of time.

About the Bernal Hill Players

  • Martha Rodríguez-Salazar – flute, voice
  • Jennifer Peringer – piano

The Bernal Hill Players is a gleefully eclectic chamber music ensemble formed in 2008 that plays classical and contemporary chamber music from around the world, as well as newly commissioned pieces by Californian and Mexican composers. At the core of the ensemble are flutist and singer Martha Rodríguez-Salazar and pianist and arranger Jennifer Peringer. Over the years the Bernal Hill Players has included many different musicians, most recently CMC faculty members Rachel Condry and Annelise Zamula.
