The 14th Annual Outsound New Music Summit is just around the corner starting the week of July 26 with a wide array of wild and wondrous music, workshops, and new experiences. This year will feature Serge Synthesizer builders, analogue electronic practitioners, and digital pioneers collaborating in unique electronic settings; a night of deep listening of metal and earth; an epic night of composition and improvisational ensembles, music for experimental film, our yearly “Touch the Gear” Expo and a lecture demo on the development of the Serge Synthesizer pushing the edge of sound.
Even if you can’t join us or live out of state please consider making a donation, or helping up to spread the word!
This year our donor thank you benefit dinner “The Wednesday a little more then a month before” is coming up on June 24h to be held at Finnish Kaleva Hall, a great place for music and culture in North Berkeley located at 1970 Chestnut Street just four blocks from the North Berkeley BART station. We’re also really excited to have two master percussionists Nava Dunkelman and Jordan Glenn perform a dinner set this year in addition to a delicious variety of food for all preferences provided by Berkeley’s Slippery Fish Catering.
Outsound Presents plays an important role in Bay Area for creative and experimental music presenting over eighty shows annually on a very small budget including the Outsound New Music Summit in July, but it can’t happen without you. We hope you’ll consider making a tax deductible donation this year and join us at our annual dinner.
