Vancouver Visual Art Foundation invites you to get creative with our new Online Art Class Series. We will feature professional artists to teach their passion through a new and exciting online format.
PAINT YOUR OWN MONET
Come channel your inner Claude Monet. In this class, Kathy van Gogh, will guide you through every step in creating a Monet-like painting in a fun and relaxed environment. NO DRAWING skills required. While you’re painting your own masterpiece under Kathy’s guidance, she’ll add some interesting facts about Claude Monet. This class is for those who wished that they could paint but were too afraid to try.
MATERIALS
Students are expected to provide their own supplies in order to participate.
- Buzz Deep Stretched Canvas 11×14
- Opus Galiano Watercolour Brush Series 500 Flat: 2 inch, 1/4 inch, 3/4 inch.
- Opus Galiano Watercolour Brush Series 500 Round: Size 12, Size 6, Size 2, Size 3/0
- da Vinci GRIGIO Fan Brush: Size 3
- Soft brush for blending: Hake Brush (3 inch) or Opus Galiano Watercolour Brush Series 500 Flat
- Opus Essential Acrylic Colours: Alizarin Crimson, Quinacridone Magenta, Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Blue, Cobalt Teal (find on the Opus website), Chromium Oxide Green, Dioxazine Purple, Hansa Yellow Light, Lamp Black, Titanium White,
- GOLDEN Satin Glazing Liquid
- Water container
- Paper plate or something else for a palette
- Paper towels
- Wear painting clothes
- Glass of wine (optional)
