The most prominent artist blurring lines between acoustic jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary R&B, GRAMMY-winning pianist Glasper returns with music from Everything’s Beautiful, his project devoted to re-conceptualized versions of Miles Davis compositions, often using samples of studio recordings and outtakes by the legendary trumpeter as the foundation and inspiration for these new groundbreaking re-interpretations.

Like Davis, Glasper has been a driving force keeping the music moving forward, becoming a crossover star with his electro-acoustic Experiment band following the game-changing 2012 GRAMMY-winner Black Radio, which won that year’s GRAMMY for Best R&B Album. Migrating from Houston to New York City in the mid-90s, Glasper became a go-to keyboardist for some of the era’s defining hip-hop and R&B stars, touring as music director for Mos Def and appearing with Kanye West, Erykah Badu, Meshell Ndegeocello, Jay-Z and Maxwell. At the same time, Glasper made a name for himself as an insightful post-bop pianist through stints with jazz masters such as Russell Malone, Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove and Terence Blanchard. His cover of the Stevie Wonder classic “Jesus Children of America” from 2014’s Black Radio II won the GRAMMY for Best Traditional R&B Performance.
