A new Fender Rhodes electric trio by Grammy-nominated musician, composer and actor Robert Rodriguez Rospide featuring Robert on Fender Rhodes, Carlitos Del Puerto on bass, and Tony Austin on drums.
Rodriguez is son of Cuban jazz drummer Roberto Rodriguez, and began his career as an instrumentalist with virtuoso trumpeter Arturo Sandoval. He’s composed or performed for many luminaries including percussionist Ray Barretto and drummer Roy Haynes, saxophonist David Sanchez, Joe Locke, and Paquito D’Rivera.
In 2015 He was nominated for a Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album alongside his brother Mike Rodriguez for their album Impromptu, The Rodriguez Brothers. Robert’s work can also be seen in the recent feature film “Imprisoned” starring Laurence Fishburne and Edward James Olmos, for which he acted in and also composed, conducted and performed the score.
Note: Respecting city and county regulations, the show is age 21 and over, and guests will be required to show proof of vaccination or a recent (72 hrs) negative COVID test at the door.
