Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, adapted by Kate Hamill, rounds out Silicon Valley Shakespeare’s summer series at Sanborn County Park, showcasing the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the iconic Dashwood sisters after the sudden death of their father leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Set in gossipy late 18th century England, with a fresh female voice, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality.

Experience live, outdoor theatre under the stars when Silicon Valley Shakespeare returns to Sanborn County Park, for their Saratoga summer residency with Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, directed by Angie Higgins.

Sense and Sensibility runs in repertory during Silicon Valley Shakespeare’s Sanborn summer series with William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure.

The specific dates for this production include: August 5, August 6, August 7, August 11, August 12, August 20, August 21, August 25, August 26, September 3, and September 4.
