Stepped in the study of the powers of vibration, The Kevin Robinson Ensemble (KREation) is lead by Baltimore native saxophonist-composer Kevin Robinson. Formed in 2003. KREation has set itself on a course to explore genuine expression through various musical and artistic approaches. The group performs in a variety of instrumentation and configurations. Anywhere from a 35 piece large ensemble-know as KREation Conference of the Birds- to a quartet, trios, duets to solo.

Life’s Blood “damn well rock their Jazz” says blogger disaster amnesiac, while exploring the influences and inspirations that make the art of jazz and improvisation timeless. The ensemble pays tribute as well as brings to light, reinvents, deconstructs, and breaths life into the deeper realms of their collective body of memory. Originally created by saxophonist Rent Romus while on tour in Northern Europe in 1999, the group currently features drummer/percussionist Timothy Orr along with a cast of guest performers from the local San Francisco scene.

*Permission to present a work by Anthony Braxton granted by the Tri-Centric Foundation
