Join Dawn Walker – flute, Aileen Chanco – piano, and Elizabeth Prior – viola for a delightful evening of music and conversation celebrating Women’s History Month featuring works of famous women composers including Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Schumann, Lili Boulanger, Cécile Chaminade, Amy Beach, and more.

Dawn holds a Master of Music Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music with academic honors and distinction in flute performance.

From the time pianist Aileen Chanco made her stunning debut with the San Francisco Symphony at the age of thirteen, she has continued to enthrall audiences and critics alike with her instinctive brand of virtuosity and sensitivity. She caught the notice of then up and coming conductor, Kent Nagano who chose her to solo with him during an engagement with the Boston Pops. After the success of this east coast debut, Aileen was named a Presidential Scholar of the Arts and presented with a medal at the White House by the President, following which she made her debut at the Kennedy Center.

An active Bay Area violist, Elizabeth Prior is the principal violist with the Santa Rosa symphony and is also a season substitute with the San Francisco Ballet. She recently joined the New Century Chamber Orchestra. Elizabeth is associate principal with the Marin Symphony and performs regularly with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony, and The Farallon Quintet. Other orchestral credits include Freiburg Philharmonic (Associate principal) and Cape Town Symphony. She has toured and worked with Südwestfunk, Stuttgart Radio, Basel Symphony, and the Mannheim Opera Orchestras.
