Countertenor Von Bringhurst (CSMA faculty, voice) and Ihang Lin (CSMA faculty, piano) perform the music of queer and women composers, as well as composers of color. The works offer insight into the struggle for equity and justice and direction for positive action.
The evening’s program will include music from Samuel Barber, Lili Boulanger, Nadia Boulanger, Benjamin Britten, Aaron Copland, John Dowland, Reynaldo Hahn, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Shirley Jones, Gian Carlo Menotti, Damien Rice and Ana Carolina Souza, Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart, and Meredith Wilson.
