Voss Gallery is hosting a ‘Vote for Change’ event with The Tracy Piper! This event starts virtually with an Instagram Live Art Auction with the artist at 2 PM (PT) in support of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC); tune in (@thetracypiper) to participate in the auction and listen to interviews with key leaders in progressive politics about timely issues and how you can take action.
RSVP to the event to receive a free printable poster featuring Tracy’s work and QR code with information on how to exercise your right to vote!
Visit the Gallery from 3-6 PM (PT) to meet the artist and register to vote. A limited supply of “Vote for Change” T-Shirts by the artist will be available for purchase during the event; proceeds benefit AOC. Please wear a face covering and observe social distancing. We are closely following the situation with COVID-19 via the CDC and SF Department of Public Health and will share any updates on our website, newsletter, and social media channels.
We are living in an unprecedented time. A time in which it is up to us to craft the future we want to see. I believe that art has the power to change the world and my passion is to make art that matters. The Tracy Piper (b. Oakland, CA, 1987) is a female-identified, contemporary painter based in San Francisco, CA. Best known for her vibrant portraits and figurative acrylic paintings, Piper depicts challenging social justice issues in an abstract-realist style. She has shown at SCOPE and SELECT in Miami, FL; stARTup Art Fair in San Francisco and Los Angeles, CA; SCOPE New York, NY; and exhibits internationally. In 2017 Tracy competed on the GSNTV show “Skin Wars: Fresh Paint” and emerged victorious! Most recently, Tracy completed six murals in the Bay Area to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement and promote community safety during COVID-19.
Voss Gallery is an art gallery in San Francisco’s Mission District established in 2019 by Ashley L. Voss. The gallery features a dynamic exhibition program of work by emerging and mid-career artists in both solo and thematically organized group shows with an emphasis in New Contemporary work with a technical edge. Voss Gallery prides itself for its unique commitment to fostering community and establishing relationships with local artists and young collectors. New exhibitions are presented approximately every four weeks.
