Since we are finally seeing a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel (and it doesn’t seem to be a train), it’s time to update the theme of Opulent Mobility 2021. We want you to re-imagine disability as opulent and powerful, and also ask you to consider freedom.
What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom of movement, of expression, of association, and of identity–all of these are possibilities. Share your artwork that re-imagines disability, mobility, and freedom.
We accept 2D and sculptural artwork, music files, and performances on video/film.
The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2021.
Opulent Mobility 2021 is co-curated by A. Laura Brody and Anthony Tusler. The entry fee is waived, and any art sales requests will be directed to the artists.
Opulent Mobility 2021 is partnering with the City of West Hollywood as part of their events for Disability Awareness month. The exhibit will run October 1-31, 2021 at Plummer Park’s Long Hall in West Hollywood, CA.
